The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a circular detailing the crucial dates for the upcoming 2026 board examinations. The circular, dated September 9, 2025, outlines the schedules for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for both Class X and Class XII. It also includes important deadlines for private candidates and a special web module for Students with Special Needs (CWSN).
The circular urges schools to strictly adhere to the timelines to avoid late fees and last-minute pressure. All activities listed in the schedule will end at 11:59 p.m. on the specified date.
Here are the critical deadlines announced by CBSE:
Submission of LOC without late fee:
Online payments: The deadline is September 30, 2025.
Challan payments: The deadline is September 22, 2025.
Submission of LOC with late fee:
Online payments: The late fee period is from October 3 to October 11, 2025.
Challan payments: The late fee period is from October 3 to October 8, 2025.
Note: The portal for LOC submission will close on September 30, 2025, and will only reopen for late fee submissions on October 3, 2025.
CBSE has also provided specific schedules for private students and CWSN candidates:
Forms for Private Candidates (Class X and XII): The submission period without a late fee is from September 9 to September 30, 2025. With a late fee, the submission period is from October 3 to October 11, 2025.
Web Module for CWSN: The web module for students seeking exemptions for the 2026 exams will be open from September 9 to September 22, 2025. This activity does not have a late fee period.
The circular was issued by the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, and a copy was sent to various educational directorates and institutions to ensure the information reaches all affiliated schools.
