CBSE, in collaboration with AIIMS, is hosting a Virtual Mental Health Series from Oct 4-10. Find the schedule, topics, speakers, and how to join for students, parents, and teachers.
This pioneering seven-day virtual series runs from October 4 to October 10, 2025. It will feature experts from the Department of Psychiatry and Counselling Services at AIIMS, New Delhi, discussing critical aspects of school mental health. The series will conclude on World Mental Health Day, which is observed globally on October 10th.
The collaboration is designed to be a national benchmark for promoting mental health literacy and meaningful engagement within school communities.
The primary goals of this educational series are to:
Promote awareness and actively work to reduce the stigma associated with mental health.
Provide practical tools and strategies to school leaders, educators, counselors, parents, and students.
Encourage and foster positive mental health practices within all school environments.
Sessions will be held daily from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. IST
(Indian Standard Time) and will run for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. The platform is
interactive and accessible, open to all CBSE-affiliated schools, students, and parents. Discussions will be evidence-based, focusing on current mental health challenges in school settings
The seven-day program covers diverse and important mental health topics:
Saturday, October 4, 2025: The series kicks off with a session on "Health, Nutrition and Emotional Health". The speaker will be Prof. Dr. M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, Delhi.
Sunday, October 5, 2025: Participants will learn "How to tackle Stress" from Sh. Himanshu Gupta (IAS), Secretary, CBSE.
Monday, October 6, 2025: The focus will shift to "Positive Mental Health" with Prof. Dr. Pratap Sharan, Head, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi.
Tuesday, October 7, 2025: Prof. Dr. Nand Kumar from the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi, will present on "Happy Gut, Healthy Brain".
Wednesday, October 8, 2025: Prof. Dr. Rajesh Sagar
from the Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi, will discuss "High Risk Behaviour in Adolescents".
Friday, October 10, 2025: The concluding session is titled "Between Screens and Selves: Resilience in Digital Age". This will be led by Dr. Deepika Dahima, Scientist C, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi.

Attendance is limited to 1,000 attendees per session and is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. All principals, teachers, counselors, parents, and students from CBSE-affiliated schools are strongly encouraged to participate.
An attendance-cum-feedback form will be shared with participants at the close of each session.
