The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a final reminder to all affiliated schools regarding the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2025-2026 academic year. With the deadline of September 30, 2025, approaching rapidly, the board is urging all principals to complete the process without delay.

The official circular reiterates the three crucial requests made in the original LOC circular dated August 27, 2025:
Submit correct student data: Schools are mandated to ensure the accuracy of all student information being submitted.
Verify subjects: It is essential to submit the correct subjects that have been offered by the students.
Adhere to the schedule: All principals are reminded to ensure their school's LOC is submitted within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any complications.
This reminder serves as a final call to action for school principals to ensure their school's LOC is submitted correctly and on time, as per the official directions.
The List of Candidates (LOC) is a mandatory administrative process for all CBSE-affiliated schools to officially register students who will appear for the Class 10th and 12th board examinations. This process is critical for the board to gather essential student and subject data, which is then used for various logistical tasks, including the creation of admit cards and the assignment of roll numbers. Timely and accurate submission is vital to ensure a smooth examination process for all students.
To further streamline this process, CBSE has mandated that schools link the student’s Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID to their LOC data. The APAAR ID is a unique, 12-digit identification number designed to serve as a student’s lifelong academic passport. This initiative, which aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aims to consolidate all of a student's academic achievements into a single, accessible digital repository. This integration helps prevent data duplication and ensures a unified academic identity, simplifying administrative processes for both students and the board.
