CBSE's final reminder for LOC data correction is out! Schools have until October 27, 2025, to update candidate details and subjects for Class 10 and 12. Don't miss the deadline!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again alerted schools about the crucial deadline for correcting the List of Candidates (LOC) data for the upcoming Class X and XII 2025-26 examinations. This notification, designated as "REMINDER - 3," stresses that schools now have only three days left to make any necessary changes.
Issued on October 24, 2025 , this reminder follows a series of earlier notices and is a final call to all principals and heads of CBSE-affiliated schools to ensure the data is accurate.
The LOC data includes critical details about the candidates, such as their personal information and the subjects they will appear for in the board exams. Submitting accurate data is paramount as this information is used for the preparation of final documents, including admit cards and mark sheets.
The Board has been consistent in directing principals to submit accurate data since the initial LOC notification was released on August 27, 2025. Subsequent reminders were issued on October 22, 2025, and October 23, 2025, providing a last chance to schools that had not yet submitted or corrected their data.
The specific window for making corrections to the LOC data for both Class X and XII is already underway.
Schedule for Correction Window For LOC Data (Class X/XII)
Start Date
October 13, 2025 (Monday)
End Date (Deadline)
October 27, 2025 (Monday)
Since the reminder was issued on October 24, 2025 , schools must act swiftly to complete and submit all corrections before the final date, October 27, 2025.
A key takeaway from the notification is the finality of this correction window. The CBSE has explicitly stated that "No other opportunity for change / correction of data will be provided thereafter".
All Principals and Heads of Schools are therefore urged to double-check their records and ensure that the LOC data for their students is fully corrected and submitted within this strict deadline. The circular was issued by the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj.
