Schools Directed to Ensure 100% Student Registration by October 16 to Avoid Board Exam Complications

Final CBSE reminder for Class IX/XI Registration 2025-26: Ensure 100% accurate data submission by October 16 to avoid students being barred from 2027 Board Exams.

CBSE Class 9 and 11 Registration 2025-26: Final Reminder on Data Accuracy and Deadline

CBSE Issues Urgent Reminder for Class 9 and 11 Registration Data Submission

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a crucial Reminder 1 to all affiliated schools, emphasizing the critical need for accuracy and timely submission of registration data for Class IX and Class XI students for the 2025-2026 academic session. This registration process is the foundational step for the 2027 Board Examinations.

The reminder, dated October 7, 2025, directs principals to meticulously follow all guidelines previously outlined in the notification dated September 11, 2025. Failure to comply or submit incorrect data can lead to serious consequences for students, ultimately affecting their eligibility for the 2027 Board Exams.

Why Data Accuracy is Paramount

CBSE has stressed that this data submission is the very first stage in preparing for the Board Examinations scheduled for 2026-2027. Any errors made at this stage will carry forward to the final documents, such as admit cards and mark sheets.

To prevent mistakes, schools are directed to take the following steps:

  • Review the Circular: All staff members involved in filling the candidates’ data must be made fully aware of all guidelines laid down in the previous circulars.

  • Brief Parents: Parents should be informed about the importance of submitting correct data and the potential issues that may arise from a wrong submission.

The Strict Deadline You Must Know

The CBSE circular explicitly states that the final date for submitting the Registration data for Class IX and XI without a late fee is October 16, 2025. All schools must ensure that the data is submitted before this deadline.

Mandatory 100% Student Registration

One of the most critical directives in the reminder is the instruction to register 100% of students studying in Class IX and XI. The Board has specified that no student should remain unregistered for reasons such as:

  • The student being unwell or out of station during the registration period.

  • The student's name being mistakenly left out or deleted.

  • Any technical failure encountered during the process.

The Severe Consequence of Missing the Registration

The consequences for leaving a student unregistered are severe and permanent.

The circular states that if any student is left out of this registration process and a request is made later in 2026 (while submitting the List of Candidates or LOC for the 2027 exams), the request for registration will be rejected. Furthermore, the school will not be permitted to sponsor that student for the 2027 examinations.

Principals are urged to consider this final direction and ensure the accurate submission of the Registration data for every student in Class IX and XI well before the October 16 deadline.
