The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the final date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations 2026. This marks the first time the date sheet has been issued approximately 110 days before the start of the exams. The exams will commence on February 17, 2026.
This early release is a significant benefit, giving students and educators ample time for structured planning, reducing exam anxiety, and potentially improving overall performance. All examinations will begin at 10:30 AM (IST). The Class 12 examinations will conclude on April 9, 2026 , while the Class 10 examinations will end on March 10, 2026.
The Class 10 examinations are scheduled to run from February 17, 2026, to March 10, 2026. Key dates for major subjects are:
February 17, 2026 (Tuesday): Mathematics Standard (041) and Mathematics Basic (241).
February 18, 2026 (Wednesday): Home Science (064).
February 21, 2026 (Saturday): English (Communicative) (101) and English (Language and Literature) (184).
February 25, 2026 (Wednesday): Science (086).
February 27, 2026 (Friday): Computer Applications (165), Information Technology (402), and Artificial Intelligence (417) (2-hour exams).
March 2, 2026 (Monday): Hindi Course-A (002) and Hindi Course-B (085).
March 7, 2026 (Saturday): Social Science (087).
March 10, 2026 (Tuesday): French (018).
Other important language and skill-based subjects are spread across the schedule, including Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Manipuri, Telugu, and various vocational and foreign languages .

A wide range of other subjects, including numerous regional and foreign languages (like Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, German, French, etc.) and vocational subjects, are scheduled throughout March and early April .
A major goal in preparing the date sheet was ensuring that Class 12 board examinations are completed well before critical entrance examinations like JEE Main. This careful scheduling aims to help students with better time management for both board and entrance exam preparation.
To further prevent overlaps, students of Class 11 applying for JEE (Main) will be required to fill in their CBSE Registration number in the application form, and schools are requested to provide this to them.
