The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a revision to its ongoing massive clearance sale, extending the validity period for procuring obsolete textbooks and publications at a flat 70% discount. This is excellent news for schools, educational institutions, vendors, and organizations looking to stock up on resources at a drastically reduced price

The clearance sale aims to dispose of old stock declared obsolete following the introduction of
new textbooks aligned with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023. The core terms of the offer remain largely the same, except for the validity period:
Discount: Flat 70% off on the printed Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
New Deadline: The offer is now valid until October 17, 2025, or until stocks last, whichever is earlier.
Procurement Basis: All books are being sold strictly on an “As Is Where Is” basis.
Important Caveat: No requests for return, replacement, or exchange will be entertained, and the quality of some older publications may include deteriorated paper.
This extension gives buyers almost an additional month to leverage the steep discount for educational or resource purposes.
The clearance sale covers a significant volume of obsolete materials from the Publication Division, NCERT. The stock generally falls into three main categories:
Textbooks for Classes 1 to 8 based on the older National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005.
Old editions of NCERT textbooks for Classes 9 to 12.
Various General Publications of NCERT, including older titles and journals.
Detailed lists of available titles and quantities have been enclosed with the circular, showing significant stock of older Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Hindi, and English textbooks across all levels.
The available stock is physically located at the NCERT Headquarters (NIE & Noida) and its respective
Regional Production and Distribution Centres (RPDCs) across the country.
Interested parties, including empanelled vendors, schools, and educational institutions , are requested to directly approach the concerned RPDCs or NCERT Headquarters for
inspection and procurement. All logistical expenses, such as loading and transportation, must be borne entirely by the procuring party. Allotment will be strictly on a
first-come, first-served basis and is dependent on the availability of stock at the specific location.
The notice urges all recipients to disseminate this information widely to ensure maximum utilization of the obsolete publications and prevent wastage
