CBSE issues circular to schools nationwide for wide dissemination of key updates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a new circular, requesting its immediate dissemination to all schools under its jurisdiction across the country. The circular has been formally shared with the heads of various education directorates, organizations, and institutions, ensuring that the updates reach every CBSE-affiliated school.

Who received the circular?

The notification has been addressed to a broad range of education authorities, including:

  • Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)

  • Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS)

  • Directorates of Education in Delhi, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, Nagaland, Ladakh, and Tripura

  • Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and Navy Education Society (NES)

  • Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs

  • Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan

Additionally, the circular has been shared with the Deputy Secretary to the CBSE Chairperson, all Heads of Departments of CBSE, as well as all Regional Directors/Regional Officers. The Board has also directed its Web Admin to publish the circular on the CBSE website, and the Media & Public Relations unit for wider publicity.

Why this matters for schools

By sending the circular through multiple official channels, CBSE aims to ensure that every affiliated school receives the information without delay. This process strengthens coordination between CBSE and state/central education bodies, while keeping school principals, teachers, and students updated with the latest academic and administrative developments.

Next steps for schools

Schools under the above-mentioned directorates and organizations are expected to:

  • Check for the official circular from their respective authorities.

  • Implement the directives mentioned in the notification.

  • Stay updated via the official CBSE website and communications from their regional CBSE offices.

This coordinated approach highlights CBSE’s commitment to transparency, consistency, and timely communication across its vast network of affiliated schools.
