CBSE has introduced 14 new capacity building programmes to strengthen teacher training and promote effective classroom practices in affiliated schools.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched 14 new Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) on 23 September 2025. These initiatives are designed to provide structured, high-quality training opportunities for teachers across CBSE-affiliated schools in India.
The newly introduced CBPs cover a wide range of topics aligned with 21st-century teaching methodologies, digital integration, and student-centric learning approaches. By expanding its portfolio of teacher training, CBSE seeks to equip educators with the skills required to address evolving classroom challenges.
Capacity Building Programmes have been a key part of CBSE’s professional development efforts. With this latest addition, schools will have more options to organize training sessions tailored to subject needs and classroom priorities.
The programmes are expected to improve pedagogical practices, classroom engagement, and assessment strategies, ensuring that students benefit from more effective and innovative teaching.
CBSE has directed its Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to start conducting these CBPs immediately. Schools are encouraged to nominate teachers and participate actively, ensuring widespread adoption of these resources.
This initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes teacher development as the foundation of effective education reform. By enhancing teacher competencies, CBSE aims to strengthen overall student learning outcomes across the country.
